Barcelona offered chance to sign Borussia Dortmund star | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona have been contacted by the representatives of Borussia Dortmund star Julian Brandt.

This comes with a view to a potential joining of forces this summer.

Attacking midfielder Brandt is for his part primed to bring a close to his stint on the books of Dortmund upon the season’s close.

After repeated attempts on the part of the BVB brass to renew his contract, the German international has made the call to depart on a free transfer.

Highly regarded across the continent, a whole host of clubs, in turn, are expected to make a play for Brandt’s services over the months ahead.

And as alluded to above, amongst the sides to have been included on the shortlist of the 29-year-old’s potential landing spots are Barcelona.

As per a report from Diario Sport, citing Sky Germany:

‘Barça have been informed of the situation of attacking midfielder Julian Brandt.’

As of yet, the Camp Nou board have done little to suggest that interest in linking up with Brandt this summer is mutual.

Premier League leaders Arsenal, meanwhile, are also credited with an interest.
