Barcelona receive major injury news before Valencia | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been afforded some altogether welcome news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that, all going according to plan, Marc Bernal will be included in the club’s matchday squad to face Valencia.

Youngster Bernal has for his part not been seen on the pitch for over a year now.

As much comes after the midfielder, fresh off breaking into the first-team setup in Catalunya’s capital, was struck down by an ACL injury in August of 2024.

Bernal, in turn, has spent the 13 months since working tirelessly towards a return to competitive action.

And as alluded to above, this weekend, such efforts at last look set to pay off.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Barring any unforeseen events, Barça’s plan is to include him in the squad for the match against Valencia (on the 14th at 9:00 p.m.).’

It remains to be seen whether the 18-year-old actually takes to the pitch, but the news is of an unquestionably positive nature.
