According to Alex Pintanel, a delegation from La Liga had visited the stadium this morning in order to gain an idea of the situation.

The team observed that the fibre optic system has already been installed, which means the stadium won’t have any problem ensuring continued broadcast, even in the case of an emergency.

In addition to the fibre optic system, the semi-automatic offside system has also been set, which was also a key requirement to host a La Liga game.

Barcelona are also working on the turf to ensure that it is in optimal condition. It must be noted that the stadium will play host to Barcelona Femeni’s opening game of the season on Friday.

One would expect this would have helped Barcelona with the preparations, given that there would be another team working on the turf.

In any case, the next couple of days could be critical for Barça as they look to install the VAR system and make the stadium match-ready for Sunday’s clash.
