Barcelona star Gavi was quick to send a message of appreciation the way of former teammate Ousmane Dembélé, in the aftermath of their meeting on the international front on Thursday night.

Gavi’s Spain, of course, locked horns with Dembélé’s France in the Nations League yesterday evening, with a spot in the tournament’s finale on the line.

When all was said and done, it was the former who marched on to as much, courtesy of a pulsating 5-4 triumph.

Wide-man Dembélé for his part featured from the off in Stuttgart, with Gavi having been introduced off the bench for Spain late on.

And post-match, the pair reunited for a warm exchange.

Dembélé and Gavi maintain a strong bond from their time together at Barcelona, as evidenced by the latter’s latest activity on social media.

Taking to his official Instagram account late on Thursday, Gavi unveiled a photo of he and his ex-Blaugrana teammate, accompanied by the caption:
