Robert Lewandowski, whose contract with FC Barcelona runs until June 2926, is expected to be a major talking point over the coming months.
With a little over six months left on his current deal, there have been no renewal offers made by the club so far, with the Catalans opting to take a wait-and-see approach and see how the veteran forward performs in the second half of the season.
Lewandowski, for his part, has also maintained that he is not in a hurry to make a decision over his future.
But offers are starting to flood in for the 37-year-old striker, given that he can sign a pre-contract agreement with any club of his choice from January.
Interest from Saudi Arabia in Lewandowski is not a new topic, with clubs from the Middle East eager to rope in the Barcelona superstar.
Now, according to AS, Lewandowski’s future for next season is set to be shaped by a key meeting that his agent, Pini Zahavi, is due to hold with the representatives of the Saudi Pro League.
The possibility of moving to Saudi Arabia for at least two seasons is very real and, above all, extremely attractive from a financial point of view for the player.
The former Bayern Munich superstar has already held talks with MLS outfit Chicago Fire over a possible transfer in the summer.

Moreover, he is also attracting interest from Orlando City, while in Europe, AC Milan are pushing to sign him as well.
However, any of the economic proposals he has received so far are likely to be inferior to the offers coming from the Middle East.
Even though there is no questioning Lewandowski’s quality and commitment to Barcelona, there have been several signs suggesting that his departure may be approaching.
This season, the veteran superstar has lost prominence within the team. Ferran Torres has gradually gained ground and can now be considered Barcelona’s first-choice striker.
Furthermore, at 37 years of age, and despite being an exemplary professional, the former Bayern Munich player has not been immune to physical issues.
He suffered an injury during pre-season, picked up another problem with the Polish national team in October, and has recently missed a couple of matches due to ongoing physical discomfort.
Within Barcelona, there is a great amount of respect towards a player who has shown exemplary behaviour throughout his four seasons. At the same time, there is an understanding that it may be time to move forward.
