Barcelona transfer target admits ‘we’re talking to other clubs’ | OneFootball

A leading member of the summer transfer wishlist at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Thursday provided a rare insight into his future.

The player in question? Liverpool star Luis Díaz.

The name of wide-man Díaz has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital for several weeks now.

This comes amid the widespread understanding that the Colombian has been identified as the no.1 summer transfer target on the part of the aforementioned Barcelona.

Amid a search for reinforcements on the left flank, Díaz, owing to his directness and ability in transition, is considered the ideal profile.

Those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou, in turn, will no doubt be interested to learn of the 28-year-old this week speaking out on his future.

In quotes relaid by journalist Fabrizio Romano, Díaz sent somewhat mixed signals, in both confirming his happiness at Anfield, and hinting that he is not opposed to the prospect of a new challenge:

“I’m very happy at Liverpool. They’ve treated me well since the first day. We’re talking with other clubs. It’s the transfer window, it’s normal. If Liverpool renews my contract, or if I have to stay the 2 years I have left, I’ll be happy. It’s up to them”.
