Barcola chips late winner to send visitors top | OneFootball

PSG beat Auxerre 1-0 on Friday at the Stade de l'Abbé Deschamps to go top of Ligue 1.

In the 79th minute, Ousmane Dembélé slid Bradley Barcola clear on a three-on-one break from an Auxerre corner, and the winger calmly dinked over Donovan Leon.

Leon had kept Auxerre in it for long spells, producing seven saves and thwarting Barcola early on, while also tipping away a firm header from Gonçalo Ramos.

After Dembélé's introduction, the visitors carried greater threat, with the substitute creating two big chances before supplying the decisive pass. Moments earlier, Desire Doue had failed to finish after a lofted ball drew Leon out of his goal.

The visitors controlled the ball with 69% possession and tallied 16 attempts, eight on target. Auxerre failed to register a shot on target.

Auxerre remain 17th in the relegation places. Next, PSG visit Strasbourg in the league. Auxerre travel to Toulouse.
