The Dutchman has given his go-ahead for Akliouche’s transfer, and Leverkusen are trying to negotiate a deal for around €50 million.

Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona have been credited as suitors for the French youngster, but Leverkusen are the only club that has proposed a concrete offer.

The Ligue 1 giants are also open to cashing in on Akliouche for a suitable offer. His valuation was reportedly around €70m.

The 23-year-old has grown into one of the highly coveted attacking talents in Europe, thanks to his astonishing performances at Monaco.

He concluded the 2024/25 season with seven goals and 12 assists in all competitions, which included his maiden Champions League goal against Barcelona in the group stage.

Playing as a left-footed winger on the right flank, Akliouche is an excellent dribbler and ball carrier.

He also has a knack for playmaking, averaging 6.17 progressive passes, 1.74 key passes and 3.50 passes into the final third per game.

Akliouche has an enormous potential to reach unscalable heights, and Leverkusen have traditionally been a breeding ground for talented youngsters.

The French star can become the new face of Leverkusen following Florian Wirtz’s departure to Liverpool.

Die Werkself have already signed Malik Tillman, Jarell Quansah, Ibrahim Maza, Mark Flekken, Christian Kofane, Abdoulaye Faye, Tim Oermann and Axel Tap this summer.

They are still looking to add a new midfielder following Granit Xhaka’s transfer to Sunderland.
