Sport Bild reports that Bayer Leverkusen are considering outgoing Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner as a replacement for Kasper Hjulmand.
The Austrian will leave the South London club in the summer on a free transfer. Leverkusen looked at him five years ago before choosing Gerardo Seoane.
Glasner prefers a move within the Premier League rather than a return to the Bundesliga. Leverkusen could benefit as the pool of likely upgrades on Palace is shrinking.
Tottenham have already appointed Roberto De Zerbi. At Manchester United, the future of interim head coach Michael Carrick remains uncertain.
If Glasner does not join, die Werkself are also interested in Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler. The former St.Pauli head coach wants to manage a team playing in Europe next season, which Leverkusen cannot currently guarantee.
Hürzeler also has a release clause in his contract, said to be worth €15m.
