Bayern Munich are interested in signing Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer during the summer transfer window.
The Bavarian giants have already signed Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, but further arrivals are expected only if Bayern can offload a few players.
The Brazilian defender is under contract with the Serie A club until 2029, and he could be an interesting addition for the German champions.
The centre-back spent four seasons at Torino, making 110 appearances before joining Juventus in the summer of 2022.
Since then, the Brazilian has made 122 appearances across all competitions for the Old Lady, scoring 12 goals, and Bayern have been monitoring him closely for several years.
The German champions would need to offload either Kim Min-jae or Hiroki Ito to make room for another signing.
Juventus are reportedly interested in Min-jae, although the South Korean is said to be happy at Bayern under Vincent Kompany and is willing to compete for his place in the squad.
Christian Falk has exclusively told CFBayern Insider that Gleison Bremer could be an interesting signing for Bayern, and there could even be the possibility of a swap deal involving Min-jae.
Falk said: “It is TRUE: Gleison Bremer is also on the shortlist of Bayern. Not just this summer, but also for several years. Min-jae Kim, however, is still at the club. It’s an interesting situation, as Juventus are keen on Kim, and Bremer could be an option for Bayern Munich.
“So, there could be an idea of a swap deal. But I heard that there’s nothing concrete; there are no talks with Kim at the moment. So, as long as Juventus doesn’t make a move for Kim, Bayern won’t make a move for Bremer.”
Min-jae was given plenty of opportunities last season, as Vincent Kompany rotated his squad effectively to keep the dressing room happy.
Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah are Kompany’s first-choice centre-back pairing, but both Ito and Min-jae featured regularly in the Bundesliga and the Champions League.
Bayern are not actively looking to move Min-jae on, but they could consider offers for the South Korean if a suitable bid arrives.
Everything now depends on Juventus. If they come forward with an acceptable offer for Min-jae, Bayern could look to bring Bremer to the club in return.
Meanwhile, Kim Min-jae is also wanted by Premier League clubs Manchester United and Chelsea, but Bayern have yet to receive any concrete offers for him.
However, Bayern are unlikely to let Min-jae leave on the cheap, meaning there has been little progress in their pursuit of Bremer so far.
