Kicker reports that Bayern have spent around €100 million on signing bonuses over the past 12 months, a tally that includes Dayot Upamecano's newly agreed extension.

The centre-back's renewal was finally secured, but it carried a steep price. His signing-on fee has been reported as up to €20 million.

Across the period, the club were generous with such payments. The report names Joshua Kimmich, Alphonso Davies and Jamal Musiala as players who received notable bonuses when agreeing new deals.

It also says significant fees were paid to land Jonathan Tah, Tom Bischof and Jonas Urbig.

Serge Gnabry is said to be close to extending his contract, and he could receive a signing bonus if that happens.
