Bayern Munich are monitoring Newcastle forward Anthony Gordon as they plan attacking reinforcements, impressed by his Champions League form.

According to Glorioso 1904, the 25-year-old has been tracked closely by the Bavarian hierarchy after standout European displays. On matchday three of the league phase against Benfica, he caused major problems, scoring one and providing an assist.

Gordon is viewed as a direct alternative to compete with ex-FC Porto Luis Díaz, who arrived at Bayern last summer and has been a leading figure in their attack. The plan is to add depth and quality on the wings for a demanding European season.

He has been integral at Newcastle since joining in 2023 in a transfer worth more than €45 million. His performances earned an England call-up and put him on the radar of the continent’s biggest clubs. This season he has been clocked at almost 38 km/h in the Champions League.

Despite strong interest, there are no formal negotiations between Bayern and Newcastle. The English club intend to keep the forward, who is contracted until 2030 and considered untouchable in their project. Further developments are possible in the coming months.
