Sport Bild reports that Bayern Munich are aiming to extend Michael Olise’s contract in the hope of warding off interest.
Olise’s current contract at the Allianz Arena does not expire until 2029, so in reality, there is little to worry about in terms of a departure soon.
However, the 24-year-old has consistently been linked with a return to the Premier League since moving 18 months ago. So, Bayern will aim to extend the contract of the winger beyond 2029 before the World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada later this year.
Since joining from Crystal Palace for €53m in the summer of 2024, Olise has been a revelation. In 83 games, the French international has 33 goals and 43 assists. Last season saw the winger win the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season award.
This season, Olise is already on course to break is statisitics for last season with 10 goals and 15 assists in 18 Bundesliga games, with a highlight being his three assists and one goal in Bayern’s 5-1 win over RB Leipzig at the weekend.
