The winger has been a standout performer for the Whites this season since arriving on loan from Brighton.

This was his fourth goal of the campaign, with his stunning, curling, long-range effort sealing all three points.

Bolton supporters were made to wait until the 94th minute before taking the lead, but the wait was more than worthwhile for the quality of effort on display.

The win over their potential promotion rivals has left them just three points off the Welsh outfit, who occupy top spot in the table.

McAtee has posted to social media to highlight the quality of Cozier-Duberry following his match-winning effort on Saturday.

The winger is proving a popular figure at Bolton since his arrival in the summer, and supporters will be hoping he will play a key role in a promotion push this season.

“Best player ever,” wrote McAtee, via his X account, in reply to the club celebrating Cozier-Duberry’s goal.

Cozier-Duberry has made a big impact at Bolton since joining the team in the summer, with his contributions now being four goals and four assists after his winner against the Bluebirds on Saturday.

No player in Steven Schumacher’s side has registered more goals and assists, with Mason Burstow also on a tally of eight, scoring seven and assisting one.

Schumacher was under pressure earlier this month to turn around the side’s form, with the club hoping to fight for promotion this season.

The victory over Cardiff was their third in four games, moving them up to seventh in the table after 14 games, three points off the leaders.

Next up for the Whites is an FA Cup first round clash at home to League One rivals Huddersfield Town on 1 November.

Bolton supporters have taken to Cozier-Duberry quickly with his performances this season, and this was vindication for why.

Aside from the goal, he proved a great creative outlet, making chances for others and proving a real threat in the final third.

His strike was a just reward for his performance against Cardiff, and it’s why many consider him a standout player in the entire division.

There will be some fears he may be recalled in January in order to move up to the Championship, but it would be best for all parties if he continued with Bolton for the season, as this is proving an excellent move for his development.
