Boushal To Ronaldo AGAIN: RSL combo carries Al Nassr to brink of Asian final | OneFootball

It’s a tried and trusted Roshn Saudi League formula that seemingly can be transported to other lead competitions, too.

That’s right, we’ve known about the Nawaf Boushal and Cristiano Ronaldo combination for some time, the Al Nassr full-back having formed one of the more impactful connections to the club captain and all-round football superstar.

Take the past few seasons in the RSL: Boushal has assisted Ronaldo six times, including teeing up some of the most memorable of the 97 goals the two-time golden boot winner has scored in the Saudi Arabian top flight.

You know, like the Goal of the Season contending overhead-kick against Al Khaleej back in November, or even the burst-and-thumped-finish earlier this month at Al Okhdood.

Well, the pair were at it again on Sunday. Only, this time, Boushal was laying on a goal for Ronaldo in the Asian Champions League Two quarter-final at Al Wasl in the UAE.

Merely 11 minutes had elapsed at Zabeel Stadium when Boushal raced to the hosts’ byline and cut back the ball for Ronaldo to sweep home into the net. It set up the on-song RSL leaders’ convincing 4-0 victory, and a place in Wednesday’s semi-final against Al Ahli of Qatar, at the same Dubai venue.

With that Boushal-Ronaldo combo carried over to the continent, don’t be surprised should the apparently telepathic pair link up yet again.
