Braga v Nottm ForestThursday 22 January, 20:00Live on TNT Sports
Forest showed in their 0-0 draw with Premier League leaders Arsenal on Saturday that Sean Dyche still knows how to organise a defence to nullify talent attacking opponents. They may need to be just as alert on Thursday when they visit a Portuguese side that sit four places above the Tricky Trees in the Europa League table.
It's three wins, two draws and one defeat so far in Europe this season for Forest, which isn't bad when you remember that Dyche is their third manager of the campaign. Premier League survival remains the priority and the manager will have one eye on Sunday's trip to Brentford, but Forest will still want to take something from this trip and their 2-1 win at Utrecht last time out shows they can operate on the road in Europe.
Braga had to come through qualifiying rounds to reach the League stage but they have shown no signs of fatigue yet and are currently seventh in the Europa League. Since getting to this stage, they have four wins, a draw and one loss. Of their home matches, they have won two and lost one.
Braga have played British opposition twice in this competition in 2025/26, beating Celtic at Parkhead and drawing 1-1 when they went to Ibrox to play Rangers. They know how to get a result against teams from this island.
Braga have scored in all six of their matches in the Europa League proper this term and their last home match in the competition was their 3-4 defeat to Genk. Forest, meanwhile, hit two at Utrech last time out and before that beat Malmo 3-0 at the City Ground.
Forest's Igor Jesus has scored four goals in his five Europa League appearances for the club, including the winner at Utretch in matchday six.
