Nottingham Forest face a pivotal summer as Vitor Pereira seeks a balanced squad. He feels only a few tweaks are needed, though ins and outs are anticipated.

With one game left, transfer talk is building. According to Nottingham Post, Forest have been linked with 11 potential signings.

Forest have reportedly made contact over Burnley defender Maxime Esteve, who is expected to leave. Angers left-back Jacques Ekomie is on the radar, with Strasbourg talks said to be progressing well. Marseille centre-back Leonardo Balerdi has reportedly expressed a desire to depart, with a €20-25 million (£17-21.5m) tag.

Long-term target Federico Gatti rejected a lucrative offer in the 2025 winter window, yet interest may be revisited. Napoli full-back Mathias Olivera drew in-depth enquiries in January and talks are said to have resumed. Brazilian teenager Gabriel Mec, a winger or attacking midfielder compared to Vinicius Junior, is also being tracked.

A possible reunion between Pereira and Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Marshall Munetsi has been mooted. He spent the second half of the season on loan at Paris FC and his next step remains unclear.

Inter’s Davide Frattesi is another name, with a £30m January bid said to have failed and his valuation reportedly lower now. Atalanta teenager Honest Ahanor remains of interest but has other suitors.

Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Isaque is valued at about £26m, more than triple the £8.5m paid 12 months ago, and competition could include Tottenham and Inter. Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney is a long-standing target, with a winter deadline-day approach rebuffed and a summer return possible, while Boro are said to want at least £20m.
