Brian Brobbey not thinking about summer move amid reported Bayern interest | OneFootball

Brian Brobbey has addressed reports linking him with Bayern Munich, with the Sunderland striker asked about a possible summer move during a recent interview.

"It is always nice when such a big club shows interest, but I haven’t heard anything myself. So, I don’t know."

He told ViaPlay. Asked about a move to Germany, he added: "I don’t know. I’m not thinking about that right now."

The Netherlands forward joined the Black Cats late in the summer window and needed time to reach full fitness. After opening his account in a 2-2 home draw with Arsenal, his power and work-rate have troubled Premier League defences.

His form has helped Regis Le Bris’ side push for a place in Europe. Ronald Koeman recalled him for last month’s friendlies against Norway and Ecuador, handing the striker his ninth and 10th senior caps.

"When I arrived here, everything was new and I wasn’t fully fit yet. I mainly had to work on my fitness, including substitute appearances and training sessions. You play with experienced players who have been through a lot, like Granit Xhaka and Nordi Mukiele. You just learn from that."
