Brighton fans looking forward to the visit of Newcastle United on Saturday.
United currently ahead of the Seagulls only on goal difference, both on nine points.
Brighton fans seeing their team failing to keep a clean sheet in any of their seven Premier League matches and conceding 10 goals in total, whilst though scoring 10 at the other end.
Very different for Newcastle United, scoring six and conceding five, but the five goals conceded coming in the Liverpool and Arsenal defeats, with clean sheets in the other five PL games for Nick Pope.
Five of the last seven Brighton v Newcastle matches have ended in draws.
Brighton fans with varying views on how Saturday will finish…
Brighton fans commenting via their North Stand Chat forum:
‘With their strength in midfield, pace on the wings and an in-form target man to aim for, I think it could be a recipe for a proper beating. 0-3.’
‘This is the game the lads finally click.
6-0 to the Albion. Even the Greek boy grabs his first in the premier league.’
‘2-1 Gruda winner.
Carbon copy of Citeh game / play pants for 65 mins + a late winner.’
‘Just read that Gruda is out injured.
Maybe Welbz hits the winner.. as he loves scoring against Toon.’
‘2-1 to the albion’
‘1-3 Newcastle’
‘I have gone with 2-1 to the good guys. We just can’t get a clean sheet atm but 3 points to us will ease the dilemma of a porous defence.’
‘Curious if anyone who voted for a score line that has Newcastle scoring 0 has watched us play football in the last year?’
‘Newcastle have scored one goal away so far this season in the league.
We are the side that has been attacked most down the middle in the league this season leading to shots on goal.
We need to stop messing about with Weiffer and play him as a DM and close that gap. If its Baleba and Ayari we will struggle.’
‘Gordon looked on fire against Latvia earlier in the week, ok the defence was pants, but considering he will be up against an out of position player, I fear he will have a good game.
Not really looking forward to this Saturday at this point, hopefully I will cheer up by then as I get closer to the ground, we need the crowd to get behind the Albion this Saturday.
oh, 1-3 to them’
Yankuba Minteh with a last gasp equaliser.’
‘We can’t keep a clean sheet, so that negates a few scores, I think we’ll draw 2-2.’
‘They are not in the bottom 3 or 4, so 2-1.’
‘Home v Newcastle is one of those fixtures we always seem to do well in. I hope that’s not jinxed it.’

‘A rare first half goal from us, only to sit back with 30 mins left and concede 2 goals. 1-2.’
‘1-1.
they score after 28 minutes – Gordon
we feck about at the back for 60 minutes and hit them on the breakaway on 82 minutes after JPVH is pushed up front and he nods in from a free kick …crowd go mental thinking we have turned the corner……no final whistle music or flashing lights
we all trudge off to the transport or parking in the rain..miserable …blaming the ref again.’
