There has been some calls, from former Manchester United star Nicky Butt actually, for Frank Lampard to head back to Chelsea.
The current Coventry boss is looking more and more likely that he is about to get his team promoted into the Premier League, and what an achievement that would be.

But Butt believes that Chelsea should go get him back there as manager yet again for what would be his third stint as Blues boss, in their time of need.

In quotes picked up by SPTC today, Butt said:
“It wouldn’t be a stupid thing to go and get Frank Lampard back in charge of Chelsea for me. He’s done a great job at Coventry.
“He’s got a bit more experience now and he probably made a few mistakes. He would be a totally different manager now.”
All of that is a waste of time even saying it though. Lampard wont go back to Chelsea right now and be a manager under this awful structure. Also, he is doing superbly at Coventry and really building his profile and making a name for himself as a manager – he would be silly to leave there right now.
I don’t see him ever working for Chelsea again under this structure and project.
Regardless of any excuses, Liam Rosenior is struggling as Chelsea boss right now, and one line he’s had about training time is backfiring on him right now.
