Cancelo ‘to rejoin’ Barcelona as Al-Hilal talks progress | OneFootball

Al-Hilal full-back Cancelo is yet to join the club’s training camp as he awaits confirmation of a return to Barcelona.

Sport reports that the 31-year-old is continuing to train alone in Portugal to maintain fitness.

He was granted a few days' holiday after the 2026 World Cup, where Portugal went out to Spain in the round of 16. He has posted an Instagram photo from sessions at facilities in the Algarve.

Working with personal coaches, including Julierson Diaz, he is targeting peak readiness for a potential reunion under Hansi Flick.

Cancelo spent the second half of last season on loan at Barça under Flick. He had also been on loan from Manchester City in 2023-2024, and remains under contract with Al-Hilal until summer 2027.

A return to Barça looks close, with talks progressing quickly. A fee of around 10 million euros has been discussed after Al-Hilal reduced earlier demands.
