Canzi: We'll face a team with a vengeance | OneFootball

The Bianconere will take to the field on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 12:30 CEST, away to Fiorentina. This will be another match against the Viola, less than a week after their last match, the second leg victory in the Coppa Italia semi-final.

Below are Massimiliano Canzi's words on the eve of the match against the Tuscans, in the eighteenth matchday of Serie A Women.

THE POSITIVES FROM THE LAST MATCH

"Against Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia, I really liked the girls' ability to win duels; it made the difference when not in possession, and then their good propensity for immediate verticalization. This last aspect is something that distinguished us for long stretches of last season, while this year we struggled to develop it a bit. Overall, therefore, I have to say that in the last match I played, I saw a team that was very focused on what we had practiced during the week."

FIORENTINA AGAIN

"Facing the same team is potentially a trap because we shouldn't think—and I don't think any of the girls do—that given the results of the last two games against them, played so quickly, the final outcome is a foregone conclusion. In fact, we'll face a team with a vengeance and a desire to prove their worth. I'll add, however, that with all due respect to all the opponents we've faced, we're always in control of our own destiny. So, when we manage to keep the intensity high and approach the games the right way, we'll get the result."

A LOOK AT THE TABLE

"It will certainly be even more important, as we approach the end of the season, to understand where we can improve; I'm confident about this because the group is fully aware of this. We know full well that the race for the Women's Champions League is wide open, so we must always keep our focus high. At the same time, I feel like saying that, just as we absolutely must look back, we can also turn our attention to the position immediately above us—occupied by Inter—currently five points behind."
