Neymar has been left out of Carlo Ancelotti’s latest Brazil squad and said he felt disappointed and sad during a Kings League Brazil live stream.
According to L'Équipe, Ancelotti named a 26-man group for the final international window before the World Cup, with Neymar again missing. Endrick was recalled and first call-ups went to Igor Thiago (24, Brentford) and Rayan (19, Bournemouth) for friendlies against France on 26 March and Croatia on 1 April.
Ancelotti said Neymar was not yet at 100 percent fitness and that, if he is ready for the World Cup, he could be selected.
Speaking live at a Kings League Brazil event as the announcement was made, the Santos forward said he could not leave the decision without a response. He described himself as disappointed and sad not to be picked, adding that he remains focused day by day, in training and in matches, with the objective still in sight and the dream ongoing.
The 2026 World Cup will be staged in the United States, Canada and Mexico, and Neymar now has two months to try to convince Ancelotti to take him.
