Carlos Segura hits hat-trick to lead Group 3 scoring for CD Castellón B | OneFootball

Carlos Segura is now Group 3’s leading scorer in Segunda Federación after a hat-trick in CD Castellón B’s 4-2 win over RCD Espanyol B on Saturday. The forward has 17 goals.

El Periódico Mediterráneo highlights his rapid rise with the B team this season. Across the five groups, he ranks second on 17, behind Iñigo Alayeto of Tudelano on 18, with Ángel Carvajal and Jaume Tovar on 16 and Berto Rosas on 15.

He topped the charts last season too, finishing Group VI of Tercera Federación with 16 for Castellón B.

Earlier, as a first-year youth player with Villarreal B in 2019/20, he scored 11 in 25 games.

Born in Onda on 23 June 2003, he began at CD Onda before spells with Club la Vall and Villarreal CF’s academy, including CD Roda. He joined Castellón B last summer and has impressed.

On Monday he was on the first-team bench at SkyFi Castalia for the meeting with Granada. Coach Pablo Hernández knows him well, having worked with him in the reserves and handed him a Copa debut this season. He is yet to appear in the league.
