Celtic will play Rangers in the Premier Sports Cup Semi Final. The Scottish Champions continued their defence of the League Cup with a routine win over Partick Thistle.
After the 4-0 win at Firhill, Celtic went into the draw that was presented by Molly Hyde and picked out the hat by Stephen Craigan and observed by SPFL’s Liam McNally.
Craigan picked Motherwell and St Mirren out the hat first, meaning that Celtic would face Rangers in a rematch of the 2024 Premier Sports Cup Final, in which Brendan’s side won the match after the game went to penalties.
Goals from Yang, Liam Scales, Seb Tounekti and Luke McCowan confirmed Celtic’s passage into the draw. Russell Martin’s embattled Rangers managed to get across the line in the Saturday evening clash with Hibernian at Ibrox.
Meanwhile, in the other Semi Final, Motherwell will face St Mirren with a chance to meet in the Cup Final on December 14. The games will take place on the weekend of November 1/2 2025.
