Celtic have been told that they will need to pay at least £11m to sign Mathias Kvistgaarden. The Danish attacker has been linked with a move to Celtic since the summer of 2023 but the club have not advanced beyond the initial stages of interest with Brondby.
The Scottish Champions enquired over a January move after Kyogo swapped Glasgow for Rennes but the January tax meant that Celtic decided against a move. It was expected that the club would revisit Kvistgaarden in the summer as they look to do a deal.
Now, transfer journalist Ekrem Konur is reporting that Celtic are interested in the deal but will need to pay £11m for the player.

Kvistgaarden has 22 goals and 6 assists in 35 appearances for Brondby this season. Brondby will be acutely aware that the player has two years remaining on his deal and in order to maximise his value, which is continuing to rise steadily. The Denmark U21 International is also being targeted by Eintracht Frankfurt as a possible striking option; although, this will likely depend on selling players.
Celtic will want to add a quality striking options in time for the UEFA Champions League Playoff in August but they’ll want to bed any new signings in.
