Celtic face Motherwell on Sunday afternoon as Brendan Rodgers’ side look to get back to winning ways after the three games without a win. The draw on the road against Red Star Belgrade was followed up by a stalemate against Hibs then a Europa League defeat at the hands of Sporting Braga.

The focus will shift to domestic duty and Celtic need to get themselves into a groove after a stuttering start to the new campaign.
Celtic go into the game with no fresh injury concerns. Two starters Jota (knee) and Alistair Johnston (hamstring) remain sidelined. Auston Trusty is now back fully fit after his period on the sidelines and is in contention for a place in the side tomorrow, although is more like to be on the bench.
Kasper Schmeichel will continue in goals despite an uncharacteristic disappointing evening between the sticks. There have been calls to give Vil Sinisalo a run in the team but the manager is unlikely to make such a bold change.

In defence, the manager will likely continue with Colby Donovan, Liam Scales and Cameron Carter-Vickers with Marcelo Saracchi coming in for Kieran Tierney. The Scotland Internationalist appeared to be cramping up before being replaced on Thursday evening.

In midfield, Callum McGregor will likely start with Paulo Bernardo but there’s an argument over who joins the midfield three – with Arne Engels, Luke McCowan and Reo Hatate all vying to get into the slot held by Benji Nygren.

In attack, expect Kelechi Iheanacho to continue through the middle with James Forrest off the right and Seb Tounekti continuing on the left. Daizen Maeda will likely drop to the bench as he continues to fail to get back to the heights of last season.
The SFA have confirmed the appointment of Calum Scott. The youthful referee took charge of two of Celtic’s 5-0 wins last season – a home win over Ross County and a Hampden win over St Johnstone.

Calum Spence and Ross Anderson will run the line at Celtic Park. Meanwhile at Clydesdale House, Gavin Duncan is on VAR duties with Gary Hilland assisting.
The game kicks off at 3pm (Celtic Park Time).
The game will not be shown on TV, despite being played on a Sunday. The match was moved due to Celtic dropping down to compete in the Europa League. The game will, however, be shown on live Celtic TV, for subscribers based outside of Britain and Ireland, with the build up beginning at 2:30pm.
