Blues had been held by Qarabag in Europe earlier this week
Chelsea put their midweek Champions League disappointment behind them with a 3-0 win over Wolves in the Premier League.
The Blues had been held 2-2 by Qarabag in Azerbaijan, but Enzo Maresca’s side immediately returned to winning ways, beating their managerless opponents.
Malo Gusto scored his first ever senior goal as he nodded home Alejandro Garnacho’s clipped ball into the box on 51 minutes, and Willian Estevao had an instant impact off the bench as he burst to the byline to tee up compatriot Joao Pedro on 65 minutes.
The Brazilian notched his second goal in as many games after he scored the winner in the 1-0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last weekend.
Pedro Neto got in on the act, tapping home against his former club in the 73rd minute after Garnacho showed the visiting defence a clean pair of heels, before having the awareness to pick out his fellow wide man.
Enzo Fernandez was instrumental in the engine room, pulling the strings with some picturesque passing, and he stung the palms of Sam Johnstone in the first half with a fizzing free kick and bouncing half-volley.
Liam Delap made his first start since his injury back in August, but he was quiet and was subbed in favour of Estevao.
Another three points for the west Londoners as they continue to hunt that consistency that many say their young side lacks.
They won’t care about that, however. They’re up to second in the Premier League table.
