Chelsea are reportedly in for a 20-year-old attacker who already has 4 senior Belgium caps to his name already.

That is at least according to one report this week as we start to think about the winter transfer window that opens up in January.

I don’t expect Chelsea to be too busy in this window to be honest, but there are always players being looked at by the club and you can never rule anything out. I think they will do some bits of business but I’m not sure about buying in at the moment or whether they will just try and see out the season with what they’ve got. It will depend on injuries and performances from between now and January I reckon.

Chelsea do seem to a love a player with the surname of Fofana, and now they’re being linked with another one!

As per CaughtOffside, both Liverpool and Chelsea are in the race to sign Lyon star Malick Fofana, who has 4 caps for his national side already at the age of just 20.

The report claims that the two English sides are both showing interest in the Belgian, who has been in sensational form for his club side over the past 12 months.

The Athletic have put one of their usual long reads out today assessing all around Chelsea’s player trading recruitment model and whether it is working or not at the moment. It’s still a bit early to tell in my opinion.
