Chelsea still waiting to reach agreement to sign Valentín Barco | OneFootball

According to a report from The Athletic, Chelsea are still waiting to reach an agreement to complete the signing of Valentín Barco (21) from Strasbourg. The Blues are expected to complete the signing of the versatile Argentina international, but are waiting to proceed.  

Negotiations between the two clubs should not be a major issue, given that they are part of the same ownership group – BlueCo. Barco would become the latest player to make the switch from the Stade de la Meinau to Stamford Bridge, with Mamadou Sarr and Emanuel Emegha among others following the same path. 

Barco set to depart Strasbourg

Despite no agreement being reached as of yet, the former Brighton man has already confirmed that he will be leaving the Ligue 1 outfit during the summer transfer window. With the World Cup on the horizon, and the 21-year-old set to be the youngest player to feature for Argentina, the transfer may be concluded following the tournament.
