Mykhailo Mudryk has taken his appeal against a Football Association (FA) anti-doping charge to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) as he continues to fight to clear his name.

The Chelsea winger has not played since November 2024, shortly before being informed of an adverse finding in a routine urine test.

The FA formally charged him in June 2025 for an alleged breach of anti-doping regulations.

Mudryk has consistently denied any wrongdoing and is now seeking to overturn the charge through CAS, the highest authority for resolving sporting disputes.

A statement from CAS confirmed that the appeal was lodged on February 25, with proceedings currently at the written submissions stage.

No date has yet been set for a hearing, leaving uncertainty about when a final decision will be reached.

The case carries significant consequences for the 25-year-old, who faces a potential ban of up to four years if found guilty.

However, any sanction would likely take into account the 16 months he has already spent out of competitive action.

If the appeal is successful and the charge is dismissed, Mudryk would be eligible to return to football immediately.

During his time away from the game, the winger has been training individually to maintain fitness levels.

He has been working at the facilities of non-league side Uxbridge FC while awaiting the outcome of the process.

Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 in a deal worth around £62 million.

He remains under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2030, with the club holding an option to extend that agreement by a further year.

The situation has left his career in limbo, with both player and club awaiting clarity on his availability.

Chelsea have not made a formal comment on the ongoing appeal but continue to monitor developments closely.
