Steve Cooper has urged Leicester fans to stick with his side ahead of their Premier League encounter with Bournemouth.

Cooper’s side sit just outside the relegation zone on goal difference after failing to win any of their opening six games.

But the Foxes’ manager made an impassioned plea to supporters at the King Power Stadium to keep the faith despite trying times.

“We want them to continue to get behind the team,” said Cooper.

“I don’t worry too much about myself. I never think about what it means for me. I’m not about my own brand. I’m for the club I work for and that’s the players and supporters.

“Any criticism has come towards me and not the players and that’s how I’d prefer it. The atmosphere in the second half against Everton pulled us through to get something out of the game.

“I look at how they were involved against Aston Villa as well. I saw how the players responded to that. I’m desperate for fans to see a result at the King Power so they can enjoy the rest of their weekend.

“I want the lads to produce a performance that the crowd can get behind.”

Leicester’s last outing saw them suffer a 4-2 reversal at the hands of title-chasing Arsenal.
