Corinthians defend perfect record in Brasileirão Feminino openers at Atlético-MG | OneFootball

Corinthians begin their Brasileirão Feminino campaign on Friday at 21:00, visiting Atlético-MG at Arena MRV in Belo Horizonte, seeking to protect a flawless record in opening fixtures.

In Meu Timao’s reporting, the champions embark on another title defence. Since the women’s side were reactivated in 2016, they have contested 10 editions and won every first match, five at home and five away.

Their starts have been prolific too, with 47 goals scored at close to five per game, and only seven conceded.

The first opener of the modern era came on 27 January 2016, then in partnership with Audax, a 2-1 win over Rio Preto at Estádio José Liberatti. Byanca and Fran struck for Corinthians, Millene replied for the visitors.

The biggest margin arrived in 2023, a 14-0 rout of Ceará at Estádio Nogueirão in Mogi das Cruzes, the springboard for another national crown.

Last season began away to Real Brasília at Bezerrão in Gama, where an even opening gave way to an 8-2 victory that extended the tradition.

Corinthians are the league’s most decorated club with seven titles, won in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. The Brabas now face Atlético-MG aiming to keep their dominance and preserve that opening-day streak.
