Corinthians’ three-match unbeaten run in derbies ended on Sunday with a 1-0 defeat to Palmeiras in the Paulistão at Neo Química Arena.

According to Meu Timao, the sequence began in November 2025 with a 3-1 home win over São Paulo in the Brasileirão, following back-to-back setbacks against Santos and Palmeiras.

This year brought two draws. On 18 January, Corinthians snatched a late equaliser against São Paulo in Itaquera. Four days later, they conceded at the death to Santos and finished 1-1.

The loss also snapped a longer home run. Their previous home defeat to a rival was in January 2024, 2-1 to São Paulo in the Paulistão. Since then they had played 10 home derbies, winning six and drawing four.

Against their biggest rivals at Neo Química Arena, Corinthians had gone more than three years unbeaten since a 1-0 defeat in August 2022, recording four draws and two wins, capped by the Paulistão title in March 2025.

Corinthians next face Red Bull Bragantino on Thursday at 20:00 at Neo Química Arena in the third round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
