Corinthians to resolve women's image rights before Club World Cup

Corinthians reported a delay in the payment of image rights to the women’s team for the month of January. Despite the pending issue, the internal expectation is that the amounts will be settled in the coming days, before the Women’s Club World Cup.

According to the schedule established by the club, the athletes’ image rights should be paid by the 15th of each month. However, up to now, the transfer has not yet been made. The situation is related to the club’s cash flow issues.

According to information gathered by Meu Timão, the expectation is that the situation will be resolved before the team travels to London, England, where Corinthians will compete in the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup. The Brabas depart this Tuesday (20th), with the semifinal scheduled for the 28th, against Gotham FC from the United States, in England.

In addition to image rights, the club’s plan also includes paying the first installment of pending bonuses from the 2025 season before the start of the intercontinental tournament. The initial strategy involved using part of the amount received from Ezze Seguros, Corinthians’ sponsor, for winning the Women’s Copa do Brasil.

Last season, the women’s team won the Brazilian Championship and the Copa Libertadores, campaigns that brought approximately R$ 15 million in prize money to the club. The team also finished as runners-up in the Supercopa and the Paulista Championship, results that secured about R$ 1.4 million in additional revenue.

Corinthians continues its preparations for the Women’s Club World Cup. The match against Gotham FC takes place on January 28th, in London, with a spot in the Champions Cup final at stake.
