Corinthians have suffered two further absences for tonight’s Brasileirão Feminino match at Botafogo, at Estádio Nilton Santos. Goalkeeper Lelê and forward Jhonson are not with the squad, according to Meu Timao.

Lelê has discomfort linked to knee tendinopathy. Jhonson felt unwell with a suspected febrile syndrome before travelling, and both were withdrawn.

They join three existing casualties in the medical department. Centre-backs Agustina, rehabilitating a muscle injury in her left leg, and Thais Regina, in post-operative recovery from a fracture of the left fibula, are out, as is forward Carol Nogueira, who is awaiting confirmation of an MRI report after discomfort in her left thigh.

With Lelê absent, Nicole Ramos has been selected to start in goal. Jaqueline comes into the side for Jhonson, who had been a starter under Emily Lima.

A win in Rio de Janeiro could move Corinthians closer to the summit. They are fifth on seven points. Palmeiras lead on 12, with Cruzeiro and Flamengo on 11 and Fluminense on eight.
