Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Cremonese have registered interest in Reda Belahyane, who could be on his way out of Lazio.

The 21-year-old moved from OGC Nice to Hellas Verona in January 2024. A year later he reunited with Marco Baroni in Formello, but he struggled to establish himself.

His standing dipped further when Danilo Cataldi returned in July, leaving him surplus to Maurizio Sarri’s plans. A summer transfer ban kept Lazio’s squad largely intact, but changes are being made in January and Belahyane is among those who could depart.

Cremonese previously did business with Lazio, taking Romano Floriani Mussolini on loan with an option to buy last summer. Belahyane had also been linked with Torino for another reunion with Baroni, and a deal was reportedly close at one stage, though that interest may have dwindled in recent days.

Lazio have often sold before buying, as seen with the Castellanos-Ratkov and Guendouzi-Taylor cases. Belahyane’s exit could open the door for a midfield addition, with the club seeking a right-footed box-to-box player and Alex Toth and Giovanni Fabbian on their shortlist.
