The match that Chivas Femenil played in El Clásico de México meant much more than the passion and pride that usually define this kind of rivalry for Cristina Ferral. By starting in the lineup against the Azulcremas, the defender made her 300th appearance in Liga MX Femenil, reaching an important milestone in her professional career.

Cristina has traveled a long road in Mexican soccer. Her journey in the pink circuit began in the Apertura 2018, when she joined Tigres, a team with which she stood out for several tournaments thanks to her defensive solidity and leadership on the field. Her performances caught the attention of Guadalajara, which brought her in as a reinforcement for the Clausura 2026.

Since arriving at the Rebaño, Ferral has quickly earned the trust of Antonio Contreras, who has started her in all 10 matchdays of the Clausura 2026 so far. The ‘Empress’ has responded with outstanding performances, becoming a defensive pillar and the leader of the Rojiblanca back line. Her contribution has been key for Chivas to record five clean sheets and rank as the third-best defense in the tournament.

Ferral has also already opened her scoring account with Chivas Femenil. She did so a few matches ago in Matchday 6 against León, reaffirming her role within the team. With this milestone, Cristina Ferral becomes the first Chivas Femenil player to reach 300 appearances in Liga MX Femenil. Congratulations, ‘Empress’!
