Gunners could have their Premier League coronation at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace are introducing strict ticketing measures ahead of their game at home to Arsenal in a bid to stop away fans buying tickets in the home end at Selhurst Park.

In what was a crucial match at both ends of the table, there were scenes of disruption in the stands when Leandro Trossard struck late to give Mikel Arteta’s men the lead.

Clips surfaced on social media supposedly showing Arsenal supporters in the home end being pushed down a flight of stairs after celebrating Trossard’s winner.

As a result, Palace, who host the league leaders on the final day of the season, in a game which could potentially see the north London club crowned Premier League champions, have moved to introduce enhanced security measures.

Demand for tickets, particularly among Arsenal fans, is expected to be high, and Palace have said in a statement on the club’s website that any supporter found guilty of sharing their ticket will be prevented from buying a season ticket or membership next season.

“In a bid to prevent away fans from accessing the home sections, there will be a number of enhanced security measures in place for this match, including the disabling of ticket sharing to limit the unauthorised sharing of tickets and touting,” the statement read.

“Supporters are reminded that, as per our terms and conditions, home match tickets are for the use of supporters of the club only.
