Crystal Palace’s leadership is convinced that Oliver Glasner is the right figure to lead the club toward its ambitious goals — a belief now being reflected in concrete action.
According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, the club is preparing a new contract proposal for the 51-year-old Austrian manager, underscoring their commitment to his long-term vision.
The board’s support remains steadfast despite reported friction behind the scenes, most notably during the failed transfer of defender Marc Guéhi to Liverpool. The deal ultimately collapsed after Glasner made it clear he would consider resigning if the key player were sold — a stance the club ultimately respected.
Since his appointment in February 2024, Glasner has overseen 67 matches, guiding the team to 32 victories, 20 draws, and 15 losses. Under his leadership, the Eagles have already secured silverware, lifting both the FA Cup and the English Super Cup — achievements that have solidified his status as a transformational figure at Selhurst Park.
