According to Diario Do Peixe, forward Davi Fernandes, known as Davizinho, made his Santos senior debut in second-half stoppage time of the 3-2 defeat to Grêmio. The match at Arena do Grêmio in Porto Alegre came in the 17th round of the Brasileirão on Saturday, 23 May.
Wearing 27, he replaced Igor Vinicius. The teenager has often been used as a right-back in the academy.
He called 23 May 2026 a date that will stay with him for ever, saying his professional bow fulfilled a dream and expressing gratitude to God and his family.
He recently signed his first professional contract, which runs until January 2029. Since March, two clubs from Portugal’s top flight have indicated interest in the under-20 player. He turns 18 in July and is in his first year at that level.
He has been well regarded by the coaching staff and has regularly stepped up to complete first-team training. The professional department, led by club idol and football coordinator Leo Bastos along with assistants César Sampaio and Vinicius Marques, had pressed for a deal. He previously held a youth agreement valid until 2 September 2027.
Davizinho joined Peixe in September 2024 after impressing with Boavista-RJ, and featured in tournaments such as the Brasil Soccer Cup Sub-16. For the under-17s last year, he scored one in 12 Paulista games, two in the Copa do Brasil and one in three in the Brasileiro. This season he has played 13 Brasileiro Sub-20 matches, scoring once.
