Milan Smit converted a penalty in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time to earn Stoke City a 3-3 draw with Ipswich Town. The forward's brace swung the momentum back the hosts' way.

In the 35th minute, Smit put Stoke ahead from close range, arriving at the back post to turn in Tomas Rigo's pass with a composed finish.

After the restart, he continued to carry Stoke up the pitch, contesting long balls and linking play as the Tractor Boys pressed higher, forcing him to battle for territory and free kicks in advanced areas.

He then kept his cool from the spot in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time after Lamine Cissé was fouled, striking low into the bottom right to cap his night.

Smit finished with three attempts, all on target, two goals, six possessions won and three aerials won, underlining how his presence pinned defenders and provided a constant outlet when Stoke needed it most.

Stoke City host Watford next in the Championship. The Tractor Boys visit Sheffield Wednesday.
