Smit converts stoppage-time penalty to deny Ipswich Town

Milan Smit's stoppage-time penalty rescued Stoke City in a 3-3 draw with Ipswich Town at the bet365 Stadium, a result that extends Ipswich's unbeaten Championship run to five matches.
In the 35th minute, Smit put Stoke ahead from close range after Tomás Rigo's pass, before Bae Jun-Ho doubled the lead (44.). After the restart, Eric Junior Bocat's own goal gave the Tractor Boys a lifeline (49.), and Jack Taylor levelled with a low finish (64.).
After substitute George Hirst was introduced, he drove in from range to put the visitors in front (82.). Deep into second half stoppage time, Lamine Cissé was fouled and Cédric Kipré conceded a penalty. Smit converted in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time.
Christian Walton made key first half saves to keep the Tractor Boys in it, while Tommy Simkin denied efforts from Ivan Azon and Jack Clarke after the break as the game swung.
Stoke registered 15 attempts with six on target and had 39.7% possession. The Tractor Boys posted 17 attempts, five on target, and saw 60.3% of the ball.
Next, Stoke host Watford. The Tractor Boys visit Sheffield Wednesday.
