Following the recent confirmation of his departure from Como, Dele Alli is now a free agent. While the English transfer window has closed, the midfielder remains eligible to join a new club outside the designated periods. Early interest has surfaced, though primarily from second-tier sides.
As reported by the Daily Mail, three Championship clubs have registered interest in the former Tottenham player: Birmingham City, Wrexham, and West Bromwich Albion. Both Birmingham and Wrexham possess considerable financial resources, potentially enabling them to meet the player's salary expectations.
However, from a sporting standpoint, West Bromwich Albion is viewed as the most compelling destination. The team is coached by Ryan Mason, who is familiar with Alli from their shared history at Tottenham. This existing relationship could provide the supportive environment needed for the 29-year-old to restart his career.
Alli’s time in Italy proved brief and ineffective. He managed only a nine-minute substitute appearance against AC Milan before receiving a straight red card—an incident that led to his exclusion from manager Cesc Fàbregas’s squad and the subsequent mutual termination of his contract.
