Deportivo Madryn add two defenders for next season | OneFootball

Deportivo Madryn have announced the arrivals of centre-back Nicolás Ortiz and left-back Rodrigo Ayala as they shape their squad for the next Primera Nacional season.

According to SuperDepor.com, the signings were confirmed on Friday for Cristian Díaz’s squad.

Ortiz, 30, is a centre-half developed at Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata, long linked to his father Hernán Darío "Indio" Ortiz. He arrives from Estudiantes de Caseros after 34 appearances last season.

Ayala is a left-back with a long career across the lower divisions, featuring for Los Andes, Chacarita, Independiente Rivadavia, Comunicaciones, Chicago, Mitre and Ferro Carril Oeste. He played 29 matches for Ferro in the 2025 campaign.

Madryn’s rebuild began with Julián Cosi, a wing-back also arriving from Ferro Carril Oeste.

With Cristian Díaz in charge, the Aurinegro will face San Martin de San Juan in the Copa Argentina round of 32. They are awaiting the 2026 Primera Nacional draw, scheduled for 22 December.
