‘Don’t forget Kylian’ – Erling Haaland reminds reporter of Real Madrid star Mbappé’s form | OneFootball

Manchester City star Erling Haaland was quick to add the name of Real Madrid frontman Kylian Mbappé to the conversation, when drawn on the European Golden Boot race.

This comes with the pair, alongside Harry Kane, in the midst of nothing short of a spectacular start to the season in front of goal.

Haaland was for his part on target once more on Sunday, as Man City put Brentford to the sword in the Premier League. This took the Norwegian’s league tally for the campaign to nine goals in seven appearances.

Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, meanwhile, has managed a remarkable 11 goals in six Bundesliga outings.

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of his side’s victory at the Gtech Stadium, Erling Haaland was in turn asked by a reporter for his take on the race between he and Kane for the Golden Boot.

And the former Borussia Dortmund man made use of the opportunity to add the name of another to the conversation.

With Kylian Mbappé fresh off notching his 9th goal of the term in La Liga, Haaland responded:

”Don’t forget Kylian, as well. He had a great start as well.”
