Donyell Malen joins AS Roma on loan

Dutch striker Donyell Malen is leaving England and Aston Villa for a loan spell in Serie A with AS Roma, with a £25 million buy option.

Malen arrived at Villa in January 2025 from Dortmund but never truly found his place in the starting lineup. This season, he has scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists in 29 matches. Roma is counting on his talent to strengthen their attack as they currently sit fifth in the league with 39 points from 20 games.
