Sean Dyche says Callum Hudson-Odoi could come back into the Nottingham Forest squad for the clash with Liverpool on Saturday.

The winger missed the win over Leeds and Europa League draw with Sturm Graz prior to the international break because of injury.

But Dyche says he has been back in training ahead of the trip to Anfield.

“Callum Hudson-Odoi is making good progress, he’s been on the grass this week so is certainly in consideration to make the squad [for Saturday],” Dyche said.

Striker Chris Wood, meanwhile, is continuing to be assessed after suffering a knee injury.

“Chris Wood’s getting rescanned, so we’re just checking up on that,” Dyche said.

“It’s good news so far, that’s just part of the process. There’s nothing untoward about that, it’s just a check-up.”

Douglas Luiz, however, is still a way off being able to return.

“Douglas Luiz has made progress, but it’s going to be some time, it’s not going to be instant,” Dyche continued.

Dyche also provided an update on the injuries to Dilane Bakwa, Ola Aina and Oleksandr Zinchenko: “Dilane Bakwa’s making good progress, he’s on the grass but not with us, he’s just with the medical side and the sports science side. Ola Aina is very similar.

“Oleksandr Zinchenko is making progress with the sports science team and the physios, not with us.”
