Eddie Howe needs to sort this mess out or the Newcastle United Chairman will

Isn’t it funny how some Newcastle United fans can’t see the wood for the trees.
I wrote an article about putting us under pressure after the West Ham game.
As I expected I got the usual lengthy criticism of my comments.
I suggested Nick Pope needed to be dropped and in the last paragraph I said Dan Burn should get the nod over Sven Botman.
This was taken as suggesting BDB should be dropped. From left-back yes but not from left centre-back.
So on to Sunday and Brentford.
Once again we have Nick Pope directly contributing to a goal with his absolute refusal to catch the ball. His second in two league games. He went to punch it a few times during that game rather than catch it. So we have a keeper who can’t catch, saves with his feet, can’t kick the ball and is better off throwing it.
Thank goodness Aaron Ramsdale has the gloves at last.
And so on to Dan Burn.
No no no no he is not a left-back! He is a left sided centre-back and an international one to boot. He is a million miles better than Botman who is an absolute liability this season.
We have a forward line full of wingers and two half fit midfielders who can’t get the ball to them this season.
We have Nick Woltemade who is NOT a centre-forward.
This is turning into a bit of a mess.
We have a manager who would play 4-3-3 if we only had three players.
We don’t adapt, we don’t change. We are doing the same thing and expecting better results. But the results are worse.
Eddie Howe needs to spend the next two weeks thinking up a Tonali/Bruno style change like last year.
That Premier League table doesn’t look very good for a club where Yasir Al-Rumayyan says the aim is to be number one.
Eddie Howe needs to sort this mess out or the Newcastle United Chairman will.
And before people go into a meltdown about me saying Eddie Howe is under pressure, we are two points off the drop.
The league football is horrendous and we have Man City and Everton next.
