Estrela Amadora seal six-month loan for Billal Brahimi from Santos

Estrela Amadora have completed the six-month loan of Billal Brahimi from Santos, running to the end of the European season. According to Diario Do Peixe, the forward leaves after failing to figure in Juan Pablo Vojvoda’s plans.

Santos authorised him to find a new club in December, but Brahimi chose to stay, believing he could win a place in the squad.

The situation did not change at the start of 2026, and he was not selected for any matchday squad. On 30 January 2026 Santos again allowed him to seek an exit, and talks progressed on the final day of Portugal’s transfer window to seal the agreement.

Signed in September 2025 as a market opportunity after a spell with Nice, Brahimi has a contract at Santos until December 2026 but has played only about 26 minutes.

Limited game time and cost weighed on the decision. His monthly salary, plus signing-on fees spread across the contract, exceeds R$ 900,000.
